My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

In the coming year I hope to get my fave cards scanned, online and presented in an interesting manner. Once done I'll share that link - meantime I agree, would be great to see some other collections out there!

Shag yours is quite a set. I stop by once in a while and see if you've had any additions. Unfortunately you're to the point now where it's going to start getting pretty expensive in all 9's. Keep it up though.

Thanks ahmanfan and kcballboy. I'm more or less done with the big time 9's, especially in baseball. Got about all I could afford. image I'm in the process of re-scanning my entire collection (just upgraded the scanner and decided to go with a black background). I'll hopefully be done some time in January. Thanks for looking!

BTW, dumb question - I notice often (not always) people showing off their slabs white out the serial #. Is it somehow possible to look up owners based on the serial #? Just wondering if it's a privacy thing.

There's been several instances where scans have been lifted and scammers have tried to sell the card as their own to unsuspecting buyers, so I always block out the cert numbers.

Ah! Makes sense, esp. since there were at least a couple of instances of that happening recently on eBay. I'll make sure to follow suit when scanning and showing my stuff (not that anyone would want to steal them anyway! image)

    Thanks for the insight. image

This isn't perfect - I did this from the free photobucket and the file sizes don't match the way they automatically crop them - but it will give you an idea of the kind of stuff I collect.

We're peers - I know what you mean. I had to learn about computers for my office.

I didn't even look at ebay or the internet until about Nov 2003!

The web here has very poor instructions and I learned by trial and error.

If ya have any questions or needs, please PM me - I can walk you thru just about anything.

Heck - when I wasn't using my scanner to it's fullest - I got a call from Vargha who walked me thru some things.

Yes - everyone - Vargha did actually exist! Tho, having only one arm made it very hard for him to type! image

Here's mine: Kramer's Vintage HOF Baseball Cards

The two centerpiece pages for my baseball card collection:

    1) All of my PSA cards (209) arranged by grade and chronology

    2) My certified autos of all living (and some deceased) HOFers who were inducted as players

It's hosted on Topcities, a free web-hoster with bandwith limitations, so it'll probably be unavailable after a few of you visit today...

    Enjoy!

All HOF in psa 8 or better minus: bob gibson and harmon killebrew. lou brock also, but simply cannot justify psa 8 cost!

I love the White Letter Variations, still a ways to go here, but real fun cards to collect.

Thanks, guys. I'm pretty proud of my site, and it really helped rekindle my interest in collecting. I'm glad others enjoy it, as well.

Honestly, the site is not very complicated, though. A good friend did the graphics for the main page and everything else is incredibly simple. The photo album software I used for the yearly galleries is both free and incredibly easy to use. I think having your own domain name is a must if you want a nice site, and it's only about $50 a year for the domain name and server space. The hardest part is finding the time to make nice scans of all your cards. It's kind of fun, though, as you spend a ton of time with cards you may not have looked at for years. Having a nice site also puts you in touch with other collectors, as you'll get emails from people that stumble upon your page.

If anyone is interested in putting up a page of their own, I'm happy to chat with you, should you think I could have anything useful to say...

Stone, Nice looking Fleer set. The Brooks and Wills cards are extremely nice cards. Dead centered and sharp.
I always thought it was a mith that you collected. I just thought you hung around here cause you liked the company. image
Nice collection. The T3 have always been my favorites, but I still want to stay focused on my T206's. If I bought one I wouldn't
stop. I'll be ready to start another set in about 10 years. T200's are my next set in 2016. LOL. Joe

My photobucket holds some of the items in my collection.
    It's just a place I store pic's that I upload to here. It's just a small piece as I
own over 130 T206's and 6 or 8 raw and graded 60-67 football sets.
Until I create a sight fo my collection you are more than welcome to look.
Most of the pics are of vintage postcards with a bunch of other cards
    scattered about.

Mike, thanks for sharing your collections! And Drew, I agree with what you say - putting together a site doesn't have to be too hard (if anyone wants to have someone walk them through it initially, they'll likely find it not too bad) and with what others said about your Will Clark site - very nice! Merry Christmas all.
