How long does it take you to

open the box that PSA returns your cards in??? They wrap that sucker with so much packing tape it took me about 15 minutes to get it open. You can't peel anything off, you have to take a knife and find the right edges to slide it into. I'm not complaining, nobody's gonna fool with their boxes without you knowing it, but that is some high quality packaging.

  • Yeah, takes me a while too. Always extra careful to not scratch the PSA cases inside by sticking a knife inside to tear the packing. image

Usually about 2 mins at most, I use a swiss army knife to cut the tape along the top of the boxes. If you submit enough cards they come back in a regular box with the smaller onesinside not taped.

  • I set the box on top of a tall table, pull a sharpened sword off the wall, and chop the top right off in one slash...

Well, not really, but I'd like to do that sometimes... I use the edge of a scissors to cut through the "registered mail approved" tape, sit down and take a breath for a minute, then yank open the box and admire the cards.

Like jradke4 said, getting back a large sub is the best, because they put smaller boxes inside a larger box. You don't have to worry about being careful with the knife or scissors then, and you get nifty little storage boxes that hold about 20 slabs each.

A single sided razor blade works very well as it doesn't go in too deep and cuts thru the tape smoothly as long as you haven't dulled it from opening too many!
