Ever see a 66RD IH with a die crack like this one?

The 1879 PCGS 66RD from the Platinum Night I in Heritage's FUN sale is a novelty. I've searched for other 1879's
with any remnants of the beginning of this die crack and can't find any. This IH graded 66RD, a 14/2 rarity coin,
and the die was on its last legs, cracking below the date through the rim edge of UNITED.

  • Neat Coin, Thanks for posting, First time I have seen one like this,,,,

  • Cool coin, I would love to own it. However, I personally would rather own a real sharp double sided clash, as opposed to just a die crack.

    That's just me though.

Neat coin I saw that rummaging throught the listings and like you Ron wished it was a die clashed cent too.
