It funny they cancelled my order because of a little address mistake. They cancel orders or put them on hold it every T isn't crossed and every i dotted
Someone just gave them my name and asked that 2 GAE sets be sent to their address, and they did it. No credit card info, no nothing, plus I have been on hold for 20 min!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!----------------BigE

They just cancelled the "other persons" order and had the nerve to tell me to "not worry about it" because the card would not have matched the address anyway so the order would have been gone thru. I got all the way up to the supervisor and I could hear her on the phone in the background argueing with someone who was threatening to take them to court because his platinum order got cancelled--------------BigE

E, I think they're right that the order wouldn't have gone through. Credit card companies are really toeing the line with fraud prevention rules which explains how the other guy's order got cancelled. My biggest worry is making sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed so my order won't get cancelled.
your biggest concern now should be to make sure that your card still has room for your order so it doesn't get cancelled. You may need to call your credit card and ask them to manually restore the authorization that was given for the erroneous order.
Hope you didn't take my previous post personally. I just don't ever expect humans to be perfect, I don't expect telephone or credit card clerks to be our economy's best and brightest (or they would have a different job) and I don't worry about errors that are easily corrected.
Jerry, no offense taken. I have taken strategic countermeasures to maintain the secrecy of my organization in relation to the US Mint ordering guidlines, just wanted to give a heads up to all my friends here----------------BigE

Call your credit card company immediately and have them cancel that number, and issue you a new card.

Exactly. Don't cancel that card. However, if you have another card with room on it you can call them and have them change the order to that card.
Maybe, maybe not. You dials the mint, you takes the chances.
