Sub may be lost after grading!! UGGGG

Okay, i had a 67 card sub being sent back to me. PSA sent the tracking number and now it is no where to be found !! If this sub never makes it to me and let's say i find some of the cards on e-bay 6 months from now what can i do about it ?? I am already going nuts because i cannot replace 6 of the cards because they are 1 of 1's !! Out of all the subs i can't believe the post office loses track of this one.It's almost as if they knew which one to lose. Insured ? Better be, but still would rather have the cards.
Anybody else have a sub lost ?

    It's probably not lost--the USPS registered mail service is screwey when it comes to being tracked. I don't think they update until they attempt to deliver.

    A few months back PSA did broadcast that it was taking up to 2 weeks for registered mail to make it across the country. Couple in the holiday rush in mail and that might be why it's taking so long.

    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    Mine is a little different. I live in Canada. Package cleared customs on the 12th. Then Canada Post sent the package back for whatever reason and has not been seen since. Why they sent the package back to the USA is beyond me. I asked what state they sent the package to? Nobody could tell me anything about the location of it. All they said is that i have to wait for the package to be scanned again to find the location. Well i have no idea if it is on the USA side or on Canada's side. I am hoping it is at least on it's way back to PSA. I am hoping that when customs opened the package the problem was they destroyed where the package was being sent so they are attempting to send back to the sender.

    Yeah, unless it's more than a week overdue, I wouldn't even worry. Registered mail tracking isn't updated "up to the minute" like UPS and FedEx. For the last two subs I got back from PSA, the tracking info said something along the lines of "in transit" up until the status changed to "delivered" a full two days after I received the boxes.

    I'm the sort of person that likes to check a package's progress twice a day to see what stops it has made. USPS is frustratingly antiquated in that regard. But, what ya gonna do? They're the gubbament and might drive a truck over our slabs if we raise a fuss!

    Edit: Oh, you're in Canada, and Canada Post sent it back... yikes. I'd be worried too.

    I dont think a sub has EVER been lost. I knwo there is a 1st for everything but I highly doubt it. I hope it is insured.

    The USPS tracking system online sucks but on the intranet they can pretty much tell where any registered package is at any time. We scan every registered every time it is handed off and it is physically handed off each time. I have to sign for every registered I touch.

    Canada Post is awful about packages coming from US. I won't sell anything on ebay to canada because the tracking system is so inconsistent. We sold a numbered card last year for a few hundred, sent it registered. The guy charged it back with paypal and he listed the card a month later. Neither ebay nor paypal would do anything at all about it.

    On your sub form you can request fedex etc and you can also request signature required. Top right corner of the sub form. You might want to check and see how expensive it would be to get the cards sent back fedex signature.
