Question on "backordered" status at US Mint

If I have an order and the status on the actual order line is "backordered, expected to ship on xx/xx/xxxx", does this mean I'll likely get it, get it if others cancel or credit cards bounce, or likely won't get it?

my ASE sets were listed as backordered for a long time, then I got them this week. Others with similar backorder status (presumably with later order dates) were cancelled by the mint. So it really means nothing until the status changes.

Depends. My AGE set says backordered until 12/8/06. Think there's a chance I'll get it?

And yet, every other backordered product, I have received.

Tell me what this means. I checked today and it said my order has shipped and the cancel button is gone, but at the bottom there is no ship date is just says this product is not available???? Did they ship them or not???

No. Order was cancelled due to unavailability. Software glitch saw nothing remaining and put up the shipped message.

You, for lack of a better word, can see the tracking number on the US Mint Web site under TRACK ORDER to see when they shipped it. It is towards the bottom of the page after you track it. Put in the order number and your last name. It will provide you with a tracking number if it has left the shipping facility.
