Only 5634 Graded PSA 8?!

I'm sure it didn't have any effect on the final selling price, but I did get a good laugh on the subtitle to this auction what states that the "[c]urrent PSA Population Report Shows only 5634 graded 8." FIVE THOUSAND PLUS?! Even though it's Jordan's rookie card, I wouldn't have guessed there were that many.

a highly overpriced set. big name superstars for sure, but not a scarce as once thought. the price a common 10 in smr was $140, now it came down to $120, and realistically many are sold for under $70. if this was a stock on wall street the analysts would be giving it a sell recommendation.

I agree there are a lot, but I think more like 1500-2000. I know I account for one of those image

Makes you wonder if there's any other card with that many graded that still sells for $500-$600 everytime it comes up for auction.

One of the biggest reason there are so many submitted is that you can't sell an ungraded Jordan for anything. The card has been counterfited so many times, only fools will buy an ungraded one. I knew that the one I have wouldn't get a 9, but figured it was a nice 8, and if I ever had any hopes of selling it, I'd need to have it graded.

overpriced set , probably . I think the set is as scarce as it is made out to be overall and relative to other 80's sets but it is a short set at 132 cards compared to regualr issue baseball sets at 792 leading to higher amounts of each card , the overall printed numbers are probably lower but on a per card basis , it is probably closer to regular print runs.. also, alot of it wasn't sold or opened so cards in high grade are pretty easy.

still demand is high with all of the star caliber which keeps the prices up
