Raiders of the Lost Ark

Howdy all, just got back my first set of grades for Raiders of the Lost Ark and was wondering if anyone else is collecting or has some for trade. Thanks much.

I just graded one Indy card, #2. It came back as an 8, that is the only one that I have had graded. I think I have 8 unopened boxes in my closet.

I am interested in collecting this set, I think it's one of the best sets out there outside of Star Wars (I loved these movies!). I'm actually just trying to get a nice assortment of high grade cards from each version of the set, rather than finishing each set to completion (maybe someday, but I just can't afford to put that much into these right now). I have already sent in some from the OPC and Scanlens versions, here's how they turned out:

Are you interested in any of my doubles from the OPC/Scanlens as trades for your Topps doubles? I have two Scanlens PSA 8 doubles right now (this is an exceptionally hard version of the set to find, they have snow white backs) and I also have 5 more boxes of the OPC to break down so I expect to have plenty of doubles from that version in the future.... it's fun busting the OPC boxes, but it's unfortunate that I'm only getting about 10 submittable cards per box.

If not, it's totally cool.... I see myself buying up some Topps boxes soon and getting doubles from that set as well (and we can trade when I have some available).

Can you post your grades on what you sent in? Just curious, no problem if you don't like to do that.

I'm still pretty much sticking with the Topps cards, I'll go nuts if I expand into the other versions. Here is the info for my latest submission:

About half and half 8's and 9's with one 10. The green border and lousy centering is the biggest handicap with the cards I've seen, but not too bad on the whole. Good luck out there and now I can request to add it too the registry!

Very very nice, wow the entire set in one shot! You really go all out....

I'll let you know once I get some Topps trades then, and we can go from there. If you put some of them on eBay though, you can probably expect some bids from me at nominal prices... I'd like to get a few just to have them, especially the PSA 8 of the Title Card.

Nice submission. This is one of my favorite sets. I have been sitting on a set and a half to submit to PSA. I have gone through almost two cases to get to the submittable cards. I will try to get my order out next week and let you know my duplicates in case you want to trade. I am happy there will be at least one other set collector.

What type of value are you talking about? Are these cards very expensive to buy?
