Cool cards. I agree, I really like that 52 B Snider pose!
  • 50's Dodger cards are awesome. That Snider pose is classic.

Don't start me thinkin about another set to work on. That's right, I wish you hadn't mentioned a '52 Bowman set in VG/EX. image

  • Ahmanfan -- Good luck with the team set. That should be a fun one to put together. I'm also a big fan of the Bowman sets. If you have to pick just one to collect, like I did, it ain't easy. I finally settled on the '51 set, but I hung on to these two from '52 that I really like. I gotta pick up a cleaner Thompson card some day.

Wow Mike those are quite the cards.

What can I find to pry them away from you, or how much are you asking? I'm suprised to see raw cards that nice looking on this thread, wow!

52 Bowman is proly my favorite set of all time. I did my set back in the late 70's early to mid 80's. Many of these cards come with a wax stain on the back due to the fact many were sold in penny packs. 1 card to a pack. Nickel packs contained 6 cards. Centering is all over the place as with most early cards. 52's can always be found on ebay, mid grade psa commons are relatively cheap. I have broken out a few inorder to upgrade my raw set. The Dodgers carry a slight premium. Besides Snider, Reese, Campy and Hodges highlite the set.

Good luck on your set John
