Rack packs on ebay

I've seen some rack packs for sale on ebay- some graded by GAI some not graded - are these truly un-opened or could they have been re-sealed? I'm new to this and curious! saw a 1978 topps footall pack and looking for a John stallworth rookie - are cards usally in good condition to grade?

thanks

Rack Packs can be resealed, but it's more difficult that resealing wax, and it is doubtful a doctor would spend their time on a '78 football rack. Singles from rack packs are usually in better shape than those from wax or cello, but there are known sequence patterns for most rack packs, so unsealed and in good shape could still mean a pack of commons. If you're looking for one particular card, it will likely cost you a whole lot less to just buy the one card. But it won't be as fun image. If you want to bust packs, but them from a reputable dealer (ask around if you need some names).

For sure. I have run into this problem before when purchasing racks.
