Thanks!

Anyone else find that this word most frequently appears in the note section of payments from auctions where you really, really just got screwed? It seems like I always get a big thank you when something sells for well below market value, but not too many people are thankful when they pay 20% over SMR or ebay value, lol.

i put more value on getting my stuff in a timely manner that is well packaged. i chose to bid on it so whatever i pay was my choice. my feedback is never based on the market costs.

I didn't just win some of your auctions, did I? Because I got some great deals yesterday, and I always put "Thanks!" in my "note" with my PayPal payment.

Nah, this wasn't a response from auctions ending as recent as yesterday, just something I've observed over the years.

Another weird thing is when I list auctions I'll add up all the sales that were over/under expectations and it almost equals out.
  • As I started buying more items I started putting "Thanks!" in for almost all auctions, as it was less time consuming. Buying less now in the off season, but still doing it out of habit.

Looking for Jonny Gomes cards, especially Triple Threads and printing plates. Will consider all cards, though. Got something? Contact me at c_u_l_1@yahoo.com

I do it out of a courteous gesture. But I do lowball most things I bid on and only win about 2% of the auctions.

As for getting something really, really cheap, don't blame the winner. I usually have a lot higher bid, but no one else bids it higher. It is just the seller's bad luck.
