NewPS: 1811/9 Bust Dime... Grade opinions welcome!

I picked this coin up today at the Nashua NH show. Ron gave me a good deal on the coin and I really like the look of the coin. The overdate is clear but the reverese is really interesting. The die cracks and the doubled shield really add character to the coin. Does anyone know the variety? Does it add value to the coin? Thanks for looking.

I would rate it as a high VF, a 30 or 35. Nice reverse die cracks, nice clean coin with no problems, a coin I would be happy to have in inventory or in my collection. Congratulations!

Your Bust Dime is easy to attribute, JR-1 R3, since there is only one 1811 variety.

That date is tough to get defect free and in middle grade. You made a great purchase.

assuming original surfaces, that would find itself in a 40 holder pretty easily these days. I've seen worse in a 50...that would be luster dependent.

The 1811 bust dime is one of my favorite dates. I like the die cracks and bulges found on many coins. I try to purchase decent low to mid grade pieces when I find them, and that is not very often! The following link has some good information:
