Females not paying (on ebay that is)

I have been stiffed on four transactions in the past month or so (an unusually high number).

However, the thing that stood out as I perused the names of these recent non-bidders was that three of them are female. In fact, the fourth may be a female as well (not sure since the first name ebay provided was only an initial "K".....could be Katie, Kristy, Kelly......).

Has anybody else ever noticed this trend? BTW, they were all sports cards.

I imagine they are all men who have been kicked off ebay for NPB who reupped with their wife's information.

Or, they may be smoking hot and unaccustomed to paying for anything. More likely the first though.

When I was selling, I had some woman win stuff from me frequently. I recall her because she won often and each time she paid me with paypal, she'd put some silly demand about making sure I package, blah blah blah....had holders blah blah blah....

If she would have ever won something cheap, I would have had the PO stick the postage right on the holder and mailed it that way.

Don't think I've ever had a female non-payer. Plenty of male ones, though.

Many times when I have a female buyer, they will have the same last name as the player on the card and/or include a note with their payment telling me that the player is their dad or uncle or father-in-law, etc.

Edited to say: "Many" is overstating it. It's probably happened 5 or 6 times over the last couple years.

If the payment is through Paypal, the account may be in the guy's wife's name, but the bidder is usually male anyway.
