1998 Playoff Contenders Wax Box Question....

What are the odds of pulling an autographed rookie in a box of this stuff? 18 Packs per box, and one ticket cards per pack, but what are the odds of pulling any of the autographed rookie ticket cards? Anyone know or have an idea? Any help is appreciated.

From Dave and Adams Card world I am guessing, haha. That is all the info I could find about them. Hopefully someone here opened some or saw some opened and knows what the chances of a rookie auto are. Thanks for your help.

I don't have a Beckett with me to verify, but I thought the ONLY Matt Hasselbeck rookie was in Collector's Edge Firs place...didn't know there was one in Contenders. The Priest Holmes rookie from this product used to easily fetch over $100. I think the Manning/Leaf tickets are 'd/200...not sure what the odds are.

Yes you are right on Hasselbeck- I didn't even notice they listed him. Also the Holmes is a base card so it should be pretty easy to hit. Rookie Autos are/500 but Manning is SP/200 and Leaf and Moss areSP/300. Enis is SP/400 I think and the rest are /500.
  • AFAIK the autographed RCs were inserted one per case (1:216 packs?)... that's what I recall seeing in a Beckett awhile back. LONG odds...

No Hasselbeck and Priest was just a base card. I busted 4 or 5 boxes from one shop a couple years ago and another 3 boxes from a different shop and didn't pull a single autograph. Pulled several pennants and got a couple of the red parallels of Moss, Manning, Holmes etc but those are $20-$50 cards vs. $500-2000 cards. Odds @ One per case is probably about right.
