Scheduled to open in 2009 it will cost around $1 billion. It has an 80,000 seat configuration that can be expanded to seat 100,000. (apparently as the size of the crowd dictates) Two steel arches will soar 320 feet above the playing field, the world's largest retractable roof and retractable doors at the ends to provide an open-air feeling on days when weather permits. A 60 yard scoreboard will be above the field, some luxury viewing boxes will be close to the players on the sideline bench (maybe they will be able to open the window and shake a players hand)
The Arlington municipal govt. will pick up about 1/3 of the cost, the Cowboys will pay the rest.

This is amazing indeed. It has Jerry Jone's ego written all over it, would anyone be surprised if it is named "Jerry Jones Stadium" or
maybe "Jones Field" Seriously, I don't think that will happen but whatever company gets the naming rights it will most certainly be the most expensive for any sports venue.
It's the fans who pay. But I guess in oil rich Dallas they can afford it.

Texans are supposed to be big and brash about everything. Paying big prices to attend a game shouldn't be a problem.
60 yard scoreboard? unreal players might lose concentration lol
The host of the afternoon radio show, Ralph Barbieri, was griping and complaining about how fast things like this can happen in Texas and how it would never happen this fast, or maybe never happen at all, in San Francisco or the Bay Area in general. LMAO.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
