Paypal, phone calls, anger

Someone from Paypal has called me twice in a month to check my Paypal debit card purchases.

$9.00 here, $15.00 there, $100 for groceries, on and on, line by line and listing addresses of stores.

Hey, I'm glad they're concerned but I find this a tad ridiculous. I feel anger at their intrusiveness but I'm not sure I should- does anyone else get these calls?

Do I have to sit and justify all my little day to day purchases with these people?

You must fit the profile of a "suspicious character." image

You would think PayPal could reduce their high fees and reduce these intrusions by cutting the staff they pay to do this. Win-win.

I would get a different debit card.

How would PayPal have access to this kind of information? Is your debit card through them?

You can get a debit card that pulls from your PayPal account. Very handy, actually... and you get 1.5% back, which helps mitigate the PayPal fees...

Yes, it is. Other than the occasional grilling about my purchases I really like the PayPal Debit card. As money flows into the Paypal account from E-Bay several days a week there's always money for the little bills and groceries and entertainment.

After 10 years on Ebay and having Pay Pal since '99 I've finally fully given up on anything Pay Pal related. To be honest they have way too much control over your personal information and banking. Too many scams out there that protect neither the buyer or seller when it really comes down to it. Pay Pal is currently trying to extract $900 from me on a deal two months ago that went smooth, then the buyer recinded a month later. Buyer refuses to return the product, and Pay Pal has credited them the $900. Pay Pal is zero help. I found a website paypalsucks.com Just read some of the stories there where people have lost thousands and you'll never deal with them again.

    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.
