Sanford & Son Selling high grade Mantle

From time to time I am sure we all have purchased/sold other things than cards on E-Bay. But check out this sellers history:

A least I won't have to tow it home.

Is the Mantle street legal? Or is it a tow away like most other items?

"difficult issue" - hardly. Though the card in question is outstanding... assuming it's their scan...

    What are these guys smoking?

Did they steal the scan and the item description from Mintxpress?

Oh Mike, you old cynic. Don't you realize that's their card, merely identical to the Mantle in that other auction, and it was a PSA numbering error? After all... a Mantle's a Mantle's a Mantle. image

Good call Mike - they even forgot to take "Mintexpress" out of their stolen description. Amazing.

Hi, I was wondering exactly what I'll receive if I bid on and win your stolen-scan auction? Hey, thanks a lot! image

    Now let's see...

What are my chances of getting this card? Multiple choice test.

I got a better chance of:

    A. Having a Peking Duck fly into my mouth for dinner tomorrow?

    B. Finding a diamond up a goat's ass?

    C. Receiving the card in the scan.

    D. All of the above.

Probably A is more likely than B. Unless you have a goat and a diamond mine in your yard. And even if you don't, both are still more likely than C. Nice one Mike! image

This dirtbag has a PSA 10 72 Fisk RC up for sale, too. I feel bad for the poor soul who's going to send good money to this scammer. image

The seller ended this listing early because the item was lost or broken.

    or maybe never owned...
  • Has anybody been able to track down where they found the Fisk Psa 10 scan? Did anybody send a note to Mintxpress letting him know about his scan?

Slimeballs took the scan from this completed auction:

    This was the genuine auction

We'll be attending to this shortly. image

I wished them luck with their outstanding offering, but did ask how it could be that their outstanding card shared a PSA serial # with the recently closed auction for a PSA 10 '72 Fisk. Well. At least they have good taste when it comes to stealing scans!

"what will u give me for it"

-- their response to my question about their "lost or broken" Mantle. True geniuses, these.

You know what's amusing - while I read this thread, I have the theme song from Sanford & Son playing in my head...man, that was a great show.
