The Luck of the Draw. It just all depends.

I think it would be a fair statement to say that everyone here has had exhilirating moments when their coins come back graded as we hope they will along with not so happy moments when the exact opposite happens.
I guess it's just the Luck of the draw. I know I can't complain.
I have sent in a few key dates and mint marks, IN THEIR HOLDERS, and they came back graded higher thereby greatly raising the coins' values.
Conversely, I've had some that did not grade as expected yet when I examined them, as I should have the First time around, through the eyes of the graders and NOT as the owner, I found that in the vast majority of times I had simply overlooked some minor detail.
All in all, having submitted coins here has made ME a better grader and has increased net worth on several coins substantially.
It costs to play the Game and will certainly make you think long and hard about cracking a coin out of a PCGS slab.
I know I won't.

Interesting. Good exposure for your auctions, though.
Apropos of the coin posse/aka caca: "The longer he spoke of his honor, the tighter I held to my purse."
