    Issued in wax boxes.

I think that there were approximately one refractor per box...
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I'm far from an expert, but I thought there was *way* fewer than one refractor per box.

Edited to say: I guess I'm wrong (again). Wikipedia says it was approximately one refractor per 18 packs, with 18 packs in a box.

Are there still any unopened boxes out there? Anyone know what they go for? I assume that 95% of the value is in the refractor, right?

I thought that 1993 Finest came 24 packs per box (as per the January 1994 Beckett article), which states that the refractors (which as pointed out were 1:18) usually came one per box although a few contain two. This would sound about right if you have 1:18 odds and 24 packs per box. Can anyone prove with pictorial evidence that there are indeed 18 or 24 packs a box? I'm not sure if anyone's going to blow $250 just to prove a point though...
