'93 Finest Butler refractor - didn't need it this bad

Link

By far the most expensive Butler I've ever seen. I know none have ever graded higher - is this the highest one has gone? I was thinking about going a couple hundred on it, but it blew by that sometime between last night and this morning.

Anyone recognize an of the bidders?

    Geordie,
I know the winning bidder. Good guy, the seller will get paid. I'd be a bit leary of the seller. I've never dealt with him and his feedback history is thin, at best. This is the highest I ever saw a Butler go...

If one ever comes back a 10, I would think it would get into the $4-5000 range. Didn't a Palmeiro get that high recently, or was it someone else?

You are correct about the Palmeiro. The Butler is tougher than Palmeiro, so I think it may bring a little more than Palmeiro...
  • Geordie,
I'm in the same boat with my Ozzie Smith Master set. The 93 refractor is by far the most expensive card i need of very few cards i have left to reach 100%. And i'm not even willing to drop $100. Add in all the controversy with these cards, forget it. Use your cash to add on and upgrade, you'd probably be much happier in the long run.
