None of the previous "negative" opinions about Bush were necessarily invalid based on his seemingly "ordinary" stats - I just thought that it was way too early to set those opinions in stone. We'll see how he is doing about this time next season which will be a much better indicator as to whether or not he is going to be "great" or not. But regardless of whether or not he will be great or a Hall of Famer, I think it is clear as of this point that he was an excellent pick for New Orleans at #2.

I don't think he will be able to sustain as a feature back. I don't think he could handle 25 carries a game for 16 games.
He looks great in his current role but I don't think you could judge him yet.

What a beat down. The cowgirls defense is just crappy. Heck even Gradkowski and company went right down the field
on them. The good news is that the Cowgirls play in the NFC East, the bad news is that defense wins championships.

I believe he still can be a special player. However, to proclaim him to be a "once in a generation player" without any substance is just wishful thinking.

If he becomes a featured back, I just don't see him being able to carry the ball 20+ times a game.

I still stand by my statements in earlier posts about him not being a "Feature" back running 20-25 times a game, but in fairness I will say he could be a consistent big play threat maybe once a game, IE a long TD run or catch with the possibility for more. The reason I started this thread is just because I did bash a few people about Bushs value at the # 2 pick and now maybe Im the one who is wrong.

That's the whole point. Are you going to pay someone all that money to maybe be a big play threat once or twice a game? All that money to average less than 20 touches a game and sub 3 yards a carry?
