Austrian taler - 1632 - extra common date?

I see this date with an amazing frequency for sale. In fact, there are 3 on eBay as I write this. Is it possible that there were simply so many made, the survival rate is extraordinary, or perhaps there were restrikes at some point in history? I own one, and this is probably why they caught my eye.

I stand corrected - there are 4 on eBay right now.

Wow. That's an awfully large number to be appearing at one time, even if it is by and large the most common date. I'd be scared of them being counterfeits coming out of China or something.

Were these struck over many years with the same date, like the Maria Theresas?

It's just a very common Thaler.

You can trust Staples Numis (#4)

None of the 4 listed coins strike me as fake.

    Thanks for the thoughts.

Here is mine - NGC MS-66. I couldn't believe the grade on a 370 year old coin, so I decided to pick it up this fall. I honestly do not see any big differences between this and MS-64/MS-65 talers I have seen, but again, I suppose thats why I have a day job. My dull pictures do not do the nice patina any justice.
