I just got a scam second chance offer email

I bid on this 1872-S Quarter and was outbid.
Just a little while ago I got a "second chance offer" type email, apparently from someone in Great Britian, as the false Ebay info had Ebay.UK.
I had contacted the seller during the auction to get pictures of the reverse, as I wanted to see if this were the reverse of 1871-S or reverse of 1872-S.
It was the reverse of 1872-S.
I just sent him an email advising him to contact the other bidders and let them know about the false second chance offer, as they all probably got the same garbage email I did.
The winning bidder on this was Lynn Ourso, (new orleans rare coins)and the bidder right above me (llhhs98) was Harry Smith.
Neither of these bidders would have reneged on their bids.
This second chance offer is going to do much damage to Ebay. They should end it.

I get those offers all the time. Didn't know it was that easy to get my email address off Ebay.
The first time, I was excited that the high bidder above me ( who I did not know at that time)
reneged on his bid. I emailed the seller to find out the truth only to be disappointed.

I always email the seller - "just to make sure" as you never know these days.

image I wouldn't bite on a second chance offer unless I new the seller and then I would still contact them outside eBay to verify it isn't a scam!
