Ozzie Smith Rookie Card

Hi, Everyone.

Normally I hang out in the coin forum, but my brother wanted me to see what I could find out here for him. He's got 2 Ozzie Smith rookie cards and he's interested in knowing the value. I don't have any pics to show yet, but I was hoping someone could give me a best case vs. worst case price on them.

Thanks for any assistance you can give me. image
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.

Of course, it would all depend upon condition. This card is notorious for being off center to the right. I think I have owned one with near perfect centering in my life. It got an 8.

  • Thanks for the responses. I'll try to get some pictures up when I get to see the cards. (It never actually occurred to me that the centering was an issue.)

    Thanks again for the help.

Is there anywhere online that has a price list? PCGS has one for coins, but I haven't seen a comparable one for cards.

For free? Not that i know of. The best price guide is looking at realized auction prices. That will give you a good feel as to how much variance there is in the price of a card.

Sports Market Report (SMR) is also pretty reliable for post war cards. I dont have one handy at the moment, but im sure somewhere he can give you the SMR prices for PSA 7 through PSA 9 for the smith card.
