Looks like it has nearly prooflike surfaces too! I'd say an easy 65. Outstanding coin.

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
These coins were made by General Pancho Villa's army at the Chihuahua mint. Judging from the condition of this coin, it must have been a presentation piece, possibly to the General himself. Probably has a real story behind it.
I have a circulated one. Also, the ones I have seen (excluding the one above) have been weakly struck.
<< <i>Actually a PCGS 63. I submitted in the summer and have owned this coin about 9 years.
I was very surprised myself it did not come back higher as it is virtually fully struck and lustrous with a very minimum of marks.
I felt better though after having seen the heritage example online for the upcoming NYINC auction.
I think they describe theirs a 63 with 'typical' weakness around the eagle's breast.
The one you see is almost fully struck around the eagle breast. >>
It seems when the TPG's grade coins they do not see alot of, they always error on the side of caution. What is the PCGS coin #? >>
I don't have the coinat my fingertips but the pop report on pcgs website indicates 3 in 63 with 1 better. ( at least of the coins submitted).
I do not know the history of the mint of these things but wish I could show this coin as it is hard to believe one is better and I am trying to be objective. May have to go thru trouble of resubmission sometime....Thanks all
I manage money. I earn money. I save money . I give away money. I collect money. I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
