detecotr recalibration

Is it necessary to have your detector recalibrated by the factory ever so often? Thanks!

I'm no professional, but I wouldnt think so. I've never heard of anyone having this done.

What kind do you have?

Garrett 2500...no problems with it...just thought they might need a tune-up from time to time? Thanks for the reply.
