That is a die clash from the neck on the obverse. Does the obverse have an EPU clash under the chin?

I thought Plurbus had an I in it? Seems like it slipped down and to the left a bit?
Tell me this is NOT a counterfeit!

Bob the only thing on the obverse is what the dealer called a doubled profile, albeit a slight one. No its not a counterfeit.

Now Ziggy I resisted the temptation to title the thread "speared bison". So give me that much credit.

You can see the remnant of the EPU clash under the chin-it was mostly polished away after the clash. The "doubled" profile is machine doubling.

Thanks koynekwest, the machine doubling I was certain about but this is the first die clashed buffalo I came across so I was certain about it.

Clashes of this type are VERY common on Buffalos. Some people collect the EPU die clashed obverses-more than a few are quite dramatic.

I have a number of 1913 that have that same clash on them. I was just looking at them yesterday wondering, what the heck is going on with these buffalos.
Thanks for getting me an answer
