To report a problem item on eBay, while you're logged onto eBay, the chain you follow is:
Help, Help Topics, A - Z, S, Selling Coins, go to bottom of screen where it says Report listing violations, click on that. It will ask you the auction number, and the problem with it. Please be specific, don't just say the coin is an obvious fake, remember that a non-numismatist will get your report, so say that the date doesn't match the style of the genuine date, or that the mintmark is too small or in the wrong place, etc. You can report up to ten auctions at one time.
Hope this helps, that's one of the reasons why we're here.

All his listings are Chinese fakes. Very easy to spot as you said. To be honest I could not view the 89cc because the pic is so small. But if it quacks like a duck and waddles like a duck.... For those that can't really see the difference look at two places on these coins in addition to the MM: 1. The RIB in Pluribus is not of the proper style 2. There is, below the date on the rim, what would appear to be a die crack in the rim. This is sloppy workmanship in putting the two halves together. Both of these show up and are easy to spot on the crap coins (Chinese rare art pieces). bob

My counterfeit "detector" went off real quick on the 1885-CC. Guess I've spent too much time looking at my CC's thru my loop. Maybe I should get a life....NAH!
I have noticed a flurry of activity in counterfeit Carson Citys on eBay in the last few weeks. Someone looks like they are hijacking accounts and putting fakes on them for one day auctions. I have seen avertised 1886-CC's, 1887-CC's, 1895-CC's, 1903-CC's, you name it. Type a search under Morgans for just CC and you will see many of them. This one doesn't look like a hijacked account. The ones I have seen lately haven't been used for several years and suddenly they have about ten CC's listed. All have the small fake looking "cc" on the back. I have used the link on the actual auction page to report many of these and it seems to have gotten a few taken down. There is a link at the bottom of each auction page that says "report this item". Follow it, click on banned items>item with a face value>counterfeit. It then asked if you want to send an email to eBay. Click there and the auction number is in the box and hit send. I don't think you can add any comments but you can add other auction numbers.
