A newbies opinion on PCGS

I just wanted to add my 2 cents to this discussion about the forum.
I,for one, want to thank PCGS for having this forum online. I discovered it on a Google search a few months ago and have learned so much about my new hobby ( obession) from reading the forums and have met online some very nice people. I can understand why they dont want people bashing them on their own forum. If you have a problem with their service, call them. Thats why PCGS has a customer service line.
I realize this post isnt actually coin related and if its off topic enough to get me bammed then so be it.
Again I want to extend my thanks to PCGS (and the nice people on here) just for the chance to learn so much about coins and the hobby in general.

Huh?
How could you possibly think that PCGS needs this forum? Granted, it can bring in a lot of customers but PCGS started in 86 and this board didn't come around until much much later.

Just because you post here does not make you a PCGS customer.
The name is LEE!
It's all distressing to see some quality people/posters saying that they are leaving.
I also would contend that this forum makes money and generates interest in the company, product and TPG in general.
Honest debate, reasonable discussion et. al. shouldnt be silenced, it should be encouraged.

I have _NO desire to spend $$$$ on coins entomed in plastic ! PCGS or whomever.
But when I buy a coin that I would consider "expensive" I want to authenticate the coin... Then the ANA is adequate for my needs...
To hell with it's "grade", I'm buying it because I _Like it.
Why line the pockets of some slabbing gurus who'll be history in 10 years ?!
