I was just reading on espn.com that the Steelers played the Browns. Does anyone care?

I heard it was on some obscure network that many cable systems do not carry, two crappy teams going nowhere this
year doesn't generate much excitement.
It was a terrible game, and an elephant on barbituates would be a better announcer than Bryant Gumbel.
Joe
Cable networks? What are those?
Honestly, in my area, cable is better. I miss Sunday Ticket, but that's it. I get the baseball and basketball packages (they have hockey also, but I don't care about that), I love onDemand programming (Directv doesn't have that), HD channels, and I get 10Meg blazing fast internet service from them.
I used to be a big Directv fan, but they lost something in recent years IMO.
<< <i>Any serious football fan has to have DirecTV TiVo HD Sunday Ticket.....Only way to go.....plus you get 6 games that can only be seen on their NFL Network.....Gumbel is fair to ok pLAY-BYPLAY, Collinsworth is a very good color commentator.... >>
Can you be serious and still not want to watch every single game?
Steve
I don't care if it's Tennessee vs Tampa Bay,
if a NFL game is on, I'm watching every dam play from start to finish.
The game had a lot of interesting angles and I throughly enjoyed it.
Doesn't have to be nail-biting close with mega-stars playing to be watchable for me.
Casual fans need not apply ...

<< <i>This is the 3rd straight week of Thursday night games on the NFL network. The empty seats were mostly because of the weather... they sold like 85% of the seats but the weather kept some people away and made others late.

Pittsburgh always sells out. They have ever since the early 70s. The empty seats were due to "no shows". Cold weather and a rare sub-.500 record can be thanked for that.
<< <i>Whats up withese two joke teams anyways? Cleveland plays tuff one week then lays down the next week, Pittsburgh is the same way. >>
Comparing the Brownies to the Steelers is like comparing Jose Lima to Roger Clemens. The Steelers are the defending champs. They would be in the playoff hunt again had it not been for Big Ben's motorcycle exploits and Cowher's semi-retirement. They fumbled away at least three games this year.

It wasn't a terrible game for Steeler fans. Seeing Fast Willie put up 220+ in 3 quarters was fun. Seeing Ben drill a 49 yard TD pass against the wind was also fun. I will give you the fact that Gumbel is horrible. He made more mistakes than he made correct statements.
