Signed 1980 WBTV set surfaces

Greetings. A couple of weeks ago, I received an e-mail from a collector who had a set of WBTV cards. He received the cards as a kid in 1980. As interesting as it would be to talk to someone who personally received a set, a line in his message left me nothing short of fascinated:
I had forgotten all about that night and was obviously thrilled to find it, and signed no less. I had several of the cards signed by the players that night, including the Cal Ripken card.
Not long after the initial e-mail, he agreed to not only take some questions for an interview, but to share scans of his signed cards with fellow collectors. I thought all of you would not only enjoy reading his memories, but taking a look at the signed cards from his set. Here are the links:
