I love all the coins that I have collected in the past (Indian Cents, Lincoln Cents, Buffalo Nickels, Jefferson Nickels, Mercury Dimes, Washington Quarters., Franklin Halves, Kennedy Halves, Peace Dollars, Eisenhower Dollars, Classic Silver Commems., American Eagles, and California Gold) but if I started over and pick any set, I'd very much like to collect Buffalo nickels again, as it remains my favorite coin design.
While I, too, like the coins I've collected so far (Jeff War Nickels, Mercs, Pre-1965 Roosies, and some modern Proofs), I like the Walking Liberty halves!!
My favorite series is the Liberty Seated Quarters. The designs I think that are best, are the Early 1900's classics. The Buffalo nickel, especially the design of 1913, the Standing Liberty Quarter, especially the type 1, the Walking Liberty half, and the Mercury dime.
Just got one today. It really is stunning up close. NGC AU-58. 1911. Bought one because I think gold is gonna go thru the roof and I wanted one b4 it does.
