Anyone From NYC That Can Help Me....

I was looking to get my mom a "Gucci" purse for christmas this year. My girlfriend was able to pick one up for herself from one of the "reputeable" street vendors last year and my mom loved it. I was wondering if anyone here could possibly help me out. I think she paid around $30 or so for hers. I'm looking for something like the one in the picture below about ten inches across and eight to ten inches tall, not including the strap. Any help would be appreciated.

  • They don't have street vendors in Chicago, so I was hoping that someone in New York City could help.
  • You want hot or a knockoff?

Meet Beavis at Central Park and he will be able to hook you up. Just tell him Butthead sent you.

If there is a large "flea-market" or "swap-meet" in Chicago, you
should be able to find plenty of "Shanghai designer" goods.

EBAY just announced a "10-hour delay/hold on listings in selected
categories," that will be reviewed by the T&S and VERO monkeys.

This is in reaction to the latest rash of lawsuits from the designer
world against EBAY; the venue wants to "prove" they are doing all
that they can to stop counterfeiting.

In typical EBAY dummy-style, the venue has refused to tell sellers
what categories the holds will apply to!!!!!!!!!!!! "We do not want
to warn criminals about what we are looking for." What easier
way is there to stop criminals than to tell them you are watching
    them?

EBAY may well be about to implode. Google is giving away their
checkout services (PayPal competitor) FREE for ALL of 2007. The
only place google checkout is illegal is on EBAY, of course.

No such thing here around the holiday season, or any day.

Its been a while since I lived in Manhattan, but there were always plenty of street vendors selling unlicensed knock-offs. I think it is not a priorty for NYC police to inforce license infringement laws by arresting street vendors? The police do arrest unlicensed street vendors,

....but NYC cops checking for fake ladies hand bags? image (I don't think so?)

P.S. When you have a society that is willing to pay $1,000, $2,500 or $ 5,000 and more, for a handbag, you can expect to see fakes, for $25, $50 or $100 and more, just for the rest of the world, "so pretending" they have something of special value too!

But fakes of all kinds are being sold everywhere; ...Nike "Air Jordans", non-licensed sports collectibles and athletic wear, mens and womens clothing knock-offs, watches, jewelry, and just about anything else of value, I guess can be a "knock-off" too?

image I've seen a ladies purse with "P's" on it instead of "G's"! (It was a "Pucci", not a "Gucci"! image )
image The Street Vendors need to have a NYC Vendor's License!
image Police checking to if ladies bags on the street are "real or fake"? (Nah!)
