Want for my son: Mantle, Ott and Foxx (reprints, inserts ok)

I got my 9 yr old son really interested in vintage baseball cards and the players. He is nuts about world series history and think the Mays catch was the coolest thing ever. Anyway, he wanted to make a display in his room like what I have in displaying my 1957 set. What he choose to do was the 500-HR Club - in raw condition. He and I went through my collection of 70s and 80s stuff and we got all but three: Mantle, Jimmie Foxx and Mel Ott. He really wants those cards for Christmas. For all of the other players, we just chose a nice card (like a 83 Schmidt, for example). I am not looking to spend a lot - maybe $20-25 - so I'm willing to get a reprint of a vintage Mantle et al or maybe one of those recent Topps inserts or something.

I know there's a lot of stuff like this on eBay but I would rather buy from someone here. Can any of you help me fulfill my son's wishes?

I've got a few sets of the inserted cards from 89 or 91 bowman i think that have the 51 B mantle. Have bunches of them I think.

I forgot about those. I have a stack of them as well and my son has seen those. I think he didn't like them because they didn't have any player info/stats on the back. Thanks for asking.

How about cards of the Mick from the Mickey Mantle shoebox collection? Plentiful and I believ some of them have stats.

1985 Circle K boxed set had great HR hitters, including Mantle, Ott, and Foxx. You can find the complete set on eBay for a couple bucks.

BTW, if you want to start on a much more impressive display, look for cheap game-used cards of the more recent 500 HR club guys.

1997 Score Board Mickey Mantle shoebox collection. 75 card set, most of the cards have a story on the back, but I'm certain there's at least one with stats. There were some inserts in the set too. Gimmicky, yes. Neat little offbeat set to get and display the Mick..sure.
