Resubmitting

How many times do some of you resubmit the same coin? I am referring to crack outs. For example if you have a Morgan MS64 and you are fairly certain that it will grade MS65, and it comes back MS63 or MS64 (and assuming there is a big jump in price to MS65 with a small difference on the downside) will you keep submitting it? I'm referring to a coin where you are nearly certain that it has been undergraded. Also, how many will resubmit a coin for grading at a different company (switching between NGC and PCGS)?

Thanks for any input...

Multiple submissions on one coin are not uncommon, especially if that coin is a key date or a coin that carries a large price disparity between grades. Common date coins are less likely to be resubmitted.

Although I can't confirm it, one coin has been reportedly submitted 125+ times for grading.

  • I agree , certian coins have been submitted to PCGS so many times the graders have a good laugh

each new time they see it !

The smart money will submit a coin over and over again until the potential profit get`s

    chewed up in grading fee`s.
