Is it really worth having "super size" cards graded?

I recently learned that PSA was now grading larger cards (like 5 x 7 photo cards), for 15 bucks per card. I decided to give it a try, and sent in a few -- two 1957 Sohio cards, and one 1967 Dexter Press Premium. Having looked them over well before sending them in, it seemed these would be a shoo-in for at least a 'NM 7' on all of them. To my bitter disappointment all three of them had their grades posted today as 6's for all three of them! I have to seriously wonder if it was worth it, given that the eye appeal certainly didn't reveal any problems that would lower the grade that far. This really tends to lower the value from what the card LOOKED like before it went into a '6' holder! With grading standards that rigid, can one really ever expect a decent grade on these photo cards? Is it worth even having them graded??

Submitted a couple of '64 Giants once. What a joke that was. Never again.
Clemente and Oliva. Beautiful. Two 6s. Would have enjoyed the explanation for those two.
