How do you feel about signing J.D. Drew for 5 years, $70 million??? You're gonna run that guy right outta town.

    Insane deal, and totally goes against everything the team has been doing for years. We were crying for years about how the Yankees were ruining baseball by overpaying for players; now we blow everyone out of the water with the $51 million offer to TALK to Matsuzaka, now we pay $70 million for a player who people thought was crazy for turning down $33 million.

    Red Sox are going to regret this day for five years.

    On the upside, Jon Lester was declared cancer-free today, so we have that as some great news to view today.....

    My over/under says May 14 before Sox fans start chanting "Nan-cyyyyy" when Drew comes to bat. He'll hate it here more than Foulke.

    Sox just signed Julio Lugo as well. Feeling a little better about that news at least, but still shocked about how much they're giving Drew.

    Hopefully they won't trade Manny.....
