Opinions needed on 1901 IHC

I purchased this coin a few months ago for what I think was a great price. It has amazing luster and has amazing blue and purple coloration throughout the coin. There is a finger print on the reverse that doesn't detract too much from the over all appeal of the coin. It is currently in an ANACS holder. I apologize for my poor photography skills. Any opinions as to grade and/or comments on the coin are greatly apreciated.

This is my first post with pictures so hopefully everything looks okay.

Perhaps the coin was graded (only) MS62 due to the color. Or, maybe there is a detraction or two that does not show up well in the images (the lighter area on the Indian's cheek representing a touch of friction?).
Cwazzy, nice job with the pics.
<<...... don't make the mistake of playing the crackout game with a coin in this price range. Just leave the coin in the ANACS holder and enjoy it. >>
I agree.
<< <i>How can a fingerprint affect the grade of a coin? I thought the grade was determined by how much wear and/or actual marks made into the coin (dings, bag marks, etc...). A print is just some oil on the coin. If a print can keep the grade down then shouldn't toning do the same? I've seen plenty of MS67-MS69 toned coins in TPG plastic. >>
If it's a fresh print it may be just oil. But even the oil from your skin is fairly harmful to coins especially copper. It does contain salts and whatever other chemicals are on your skin when you handle the coin. If left it will etch itself into the coin especially in ideal conditions such as higher humidity.

I love the subtle color in the coin.
Knowledge is the enemy of fear
<< <i>Mint state IHCs with this color scheme usually grade 63-64. >>
Is this because the toning could be deemed questionable?
I ask because I love copper and want to learn as much as I can about it from the experts.

A little porous looking around "LIBERTY", but overall I like this coin, a lot !
