Who else had to wait over two weeks for 20th ann. ASE sets?

Right now I am on day 17 from the time the Mint says they shipped my 20th anniversary sets (and charged my credit card) and still have not received them. The kicker is DHL said they delivered them to my post office hub on the 22nd of November and they have been sitting SOMEWHERE for the past two weeks! Has this been a similar scenario for anyone else out there?

Yes, several people, including myself, had to wait nearly a month for delivery.
    Many happy BST transactions

My set was supposed to be sent out on Oct. 28. After three weeks I receive an email from the mint that they received the set that I had returned and that they would refund me the money. Problem was that I never received the set or was left any notice that delivery had been attempted. I called the Mint any the lady said that they would send me another as soon as possible but I later checked my credit card statement and I had been already credited the $100.00.

maybe that's through DHL ? Ive never ever had a mint shipment come blindingly fast, but maybe im just in "sweet spot" in the delivery grid
  • ASE set #1 arrived 3 days after the mint site said it was shipped (USPS)
ASE set #2 arrived 20 days after the mint site said it was shipped (DHL/USPS)
ASE set #3 arrived 6 days after the mint site said it was shipped (DHL/USPS)

My experience with DHL had only been with larger packages and I've always been satisfied.
Also, USPS alone has been great for me for as long as I've been using them.
It looks like when there's a DHL/USPS combo, things get screwed up.
  • From what I've experienced in the past with the Mint shipping with JUST the USPS, I have had excellent results (never more than 7 days from date the Mint said it was shipped and it arriving at my door. This new situation with USPS/DHL seems to be pretty unreliable and VERY disconcerting to us collectors that deal directly with the Mint.

    Mine took almost a month.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Better for them to sit and be returned than to be delivered to someone else.....
