Other than the condition of the coin, the thing that seems suspicious to me is the starting bid. Granted, I haven't been cruising Ebay as long as some people, but I've never seen a starting bid that close to the BIN.
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.
Semantics. Nothing wrong with this auction IMO. What is a problem?
The auction has two large pics showing the exact condition of the coin. Is his description really necessary or important in this auction for a coin in G/VG?
This is not the kind of auction IMO that needs to be called out on the carpet.

I usually set a BIN to be within $10 of my first bid to encourage people to pull the trigger now and only on coins which are hot items. Who would bid $190 on that when maybe you could get that for $175.
That auction is not too bad. Better than most of his auctions. One thing I will add to this thread: I have eBay searches set-up on my computer and I have (for the past couple of years) excluded that seller and a couple of others from all searches. When I search for colonials, none of his auctions show up and my surfing experience is less nauseating.

I have made two satisfactory purchases from that seller. I typically find his descriptions of items to be optimistic at best. Photos of the two items I purchased were accurate, to include color.

I don't need to make a lot of money on each coin if I can turn them over quickly.
I know Ernie, and I'd bet the coin doesn't look too bad in hand.
The fact that it's NOT certified should say something to you!
That's VG/F graysheet bid, which is a fair price for the coin. It's not too bad a deal on a raw, circulated CC Trade dollar!

He always overgrades and always tell you that the coin is "problem free"......YEH RIGHT MAN!!!
That's why I don't buy from him, just laugh at his pathetic attept to sell coins.

Yes, all of my searches are "ernie-free" as well!
