Cutler looked terrible.

The ole heave ho that was picked off and ran back? How is this any better than Jake Plummer?

One of those TDs had NOTHING to do with cutler and EVERYTHING to do with Seattle forgetting how to tackle. He had 72 yards passing before that one 71 yard play.

i'm a cutler fan, mainly due to being from the nashville area. i feel he would have benefited from watching/learning from plummer the entire season rather than throwing him in at this point. i just don't think it was a good move at this time. they were winning regardless of plummers play. maybe shanahan was feeling heat since leinart and young (go titans) were playing whereas cutler was not and he was the last of the big 3 qbs drafted in the first round this year. hopefully his next outing will be better.

I think Cutler will be fine. I think there was some pressure to do something because of the recent success other teams have had with replacing older, experienced quarterbacks with inexperienced quarterbacks (Tony Romo immediately comes to mind). Of course, Romo has been in the league for a while and studying on the sidelines whereas Cutler is still new to the NFL game. Even so, I think Romo's success in Dallas has raised the bar of expectations on teams with older, experienced QBs and talented backups to "do something" about a suspect QB situation.

He won the Olympia this year although I didn't believe he was the best out there. This is usually the outcome in subjective contests, though.
