Very good deal. No downside there. I will attribute this in a bit. I don't know off-hand, so I will run upstairs to get my book!

    The 1806 in link 1 is a B-3, R.1.

    The 1806 in link 2 is B-9, also R.1

The 1807 in link 2 is B-2, the "Large 0" variety. There are only 2 varieties of this year, and this is a bit tougher than B-1. It is listed as an R.3, but I know that it is only R.2.

Overall you did well. Those are wholesale prices. I think one reason why you had very little competition is that the seller was so vehemently opposed to taking PayPal as a form of payment.

You know, I was eyeing these has having some potential to buy, but then I told myself I had to pass.
    I already have an 05, 06, & 07, therefore I passed.

You certainly picked up some great dates for a great price. The hinderance I had on these coins was condition/ grade.
Link 1 has a well worn, lightly scratched, otherwise problem free FR-01/02 grade; and for $43 was a steal.

As for Link 2, these dates were damaged. The 1807 has an ugly scratch and a dig, whereas the 1806 has a hole (although it's a nice round hole). Despite all this, for $38 each, I admit that it was a steal.

All-in-all probalby a sign that the coin market is slowing down a little. They seem to be great cheap coin for a variety collection.

Neat coins, and of course in that condition, you can jingle the group together, carry them in your pocket, flip them heads or tails, and generally have fun with them.

The draped bust quarters, imo, are still underrated, even considering the price appreciation of the series in recent years.

Not nearly enough of them to go around, if even a small percentage of coin collectors wanted a single example

I think they are neat because when you think of today, the quarter is the largest piece of change in average circulation, but back then, the quarter wasn't really well liked. Most accounts I have read are that it was confusing and cumbersome. That's why so few were produced and whey they skipped years.
