Cuban Peso Type Set - Completed!

This completes my 20th century pre-revolution silver Cuban peso type set.

1953 Cuba Silver Peso Mintage 1,000,000 (Centennial of Jose Marti)

The other two are:

1934 Cuba Silver Peso Mintage 3,000,000 (Star Peso)

1939 Cuba Silver Peso Mintage 9,200,000 (ABC Peso)

A nice matched set of three in choice BU condition. Each specimen is lustrous with light original toning.

I'm really enjoying putting together these short type (theme) sets from around the world. Not sure I can get into a complete date set again. For the past five years I've been griding through the U.S. Philippines series, but it's starting to lose its appeal as I get down to the final 20 coins (out of 120 or so).

    Ah - That is a beauty - I have a small Cuban collection also. There are some nice older Cuban coins, some are hard to find.

    Short series with a theme - good idea!

    Congrats! Those Cuban pieces of that era are elegant and hard to find in choice uncirculated.

    I have always Loved the "ABC" Peso design..

    Wish Dansco would re-issue #7240 Cuba Type Set album. I really want to add this set to my collection.

    I'm working on a Cuban Gold Type set in a Capitol holder image

    Already own the 1916: 4, 5 & 10 pesos so far..

    I may have some pics of an incredible mint state, pastel toned ABC peso I used to own. I'll check when I'm home tonight.
