    I heard through the grapevine that this kid is a top notch student who not only has a burning desire to play basketball but also desires to become a world class expert on ornithology. Hopefully he will finish his BA degree and then put his basketball carrer on hold so that he can obtain a masters and a doctorate in ornitholgy before he join sthe NBA.

    Wise move IMHO since you never know when a pro sports career will be cut short. Having multiple degrees in ornithology will give him something to fall back on to make a living after his hoops career is over.image

    He's been telling anyone who asks since he was a junior in high school that he intends on playing college ball for 2-3 years and perhaps all four. He is a well grounded kid and his family doesn't need the money.

    A very good friend of mine interviewed him after the Wendy's all star game and said he was polite, very nice and actually a quiet guy.

    Kobe was going to go to Duke for 4 years as well untill a few weeks before the draft....
