Hi all Long time collector here, but somewhat new to the grading side to things. My first ? here is will PSA authenticate cards that have problems? i.e. trimmed wrong size ect ect I tend to chase the low end side of things-I like PSA vintage Reds 5 or better for instance but I recently bought a lot of vintage dogs that I'd like to get graded just to ensure they are real. Thanks, Mike

Welcome to the boards.
Psa will not grade cards that are trimmed or cards that dont meet the minimum size requirment. My last sub had two cards that were from the factory cut to small and were not graded. As far as just authenticating them I think they will but they willl but will be labled as such
Have fun

UNGRADEABLE CARDS:
PSA will not grade cards which bear evidence of trimming, re-coloring, restoration, or any other forms of tampering, or are of questionable authenticity. In addition, PSA does not grade autographed cards dated earlier than 1998 or any cards manufactured by Star except Star Baseball & 1996 Star Topps (reprint) Basketball Cards; only factory imprint signatures can be graded.

As for your question, I've seen PSA slabbed cards labelled as "Authentic" that don't have a grade. So, I know it's possible. I just don't know what the process is--I was just looking at the forms they sent me and don't see a checkbox for it. I'd be curious to know too...

Welcome!
Do you have scanning capability? If so - how about a few scans so we can see what you're talking about?
The problem is - some of the cards may not be worth the cost of grading - but look great in a binder to view on a winters day or something.
If you don't know how to post here - do a scan - send it to my email and I'll post it for ya.
Good luck on your venture in the world of graded!
