<< <i>Its unfortunate the 2 best teams in the country aren't playing in the game. >>

A triple OT loss to West Virginia and being upset by Cincinnati, the 10-2 Scarlet Knights of Rutgers could be playing for "all the Tostitos", instead of Florida?

It seems, with sooooooooooooooooo many different teams, the two best teams will usually, not be playing in the title game. It is just to difficult to go undefeated, 11-0 or 12-0.

edit: I'm for a 16-team play-off. But "an upset here" or "a loss there", could mean the best team in the nation may not be playing for the title anyway? image

  • << <i>Interesting that I haven't heard a peep out of that bum Urban Meyer whining for a playoff system, as he backed his way into a championship game bid.

I guess he's ok with the current system now?

What a friggen' hypocrite - at least come out and say 'hey, I know we're in the championship game, but we should still have the playoff system'.

What a fraud. I hope the ratings for this sham are so terrible they HAVE to revamp the system - Michigan got completely hosed by a fraudulent florida team. >>

He didn't change his tune...even after the Gators were selected, he still said the current system doesn't cut it. Even UF's president, Bernie Machen is on record saying a playoff is needed.

Urban supported a playoff system ever since he was at Utah, and he's been consistent ever since.
