I sent it to spoof@PayPal.com and they confirmed it wasn't for real ... as usual.

I've gotten a few, but nicely personalized with my name! I'm not sure how that's happening, but that's pretty scary. One was notifying me my credit card was expiring soon--which it almost is (same month but next year). I can REALLY see how someone might get taken in by all that!

They never address you that way, Your NAME is always in the salutation. Good way to spot a fake. Did you submit it to spoof
  • Anything that I get anymore from PayPal or Ebay gets forwarded to the spoof addresses.

That's the problem--I've gotten a few that have had my name in there! I forward EVERYTHING to the spoof addresses, and so far, it's all been fake.

    Scary!

Oh, absolutely. I'm like Ken ... I always send any email from PayPal or eBay to spoof. It's become an automatic response image
