Is the ANS (American Numismatic Society) still in financial trouble?

This is the only reason I can figure for this from Stacks:
United States Gold Coins from the
American Numismatic Society Collection
101 Die Duplicates
January 11, 2007 in New York City
Featured will be 101 carefully selected die duplicates representing all
circulation issue denominations from the tiny gold dollar to the double eagle ($20)
as well ascommemorative gold coins including four “slugs” or $50 gold pieces.

I asked how they chose what to deassession. They said -- We like to have a maximum of 2 (maybe they said 3 -- I can't recall for certain) of every coin, unless it has something special like a rare die state. So these are either their triplicates or their quadruplicates.
Even so, I suspect many of them will be very nice coins.
The ANS is now in good hands. A few generous board members have spent mucho buckos to shore it up. These are very smart people, and I'm sure they will make certain their "investment" will be well managed from here on out.
