Numismedia?

Heritage provides several value references for a coin that you may be interested in bidding on. These references include coin world trends, numismedia wholesale and retail values, and the PCGS price guide.
What is numismedia and how should it be interpreted? Also if the Numismedia value is significantly above the PCGS price guide value does this mean anything?
Thanks.

I find it a useful reference for circulated material. You have to be a subscriber to see the grades above MS60. (I think PCGS should also do this to prevent abuse of their priceguide by eBay sleazeballs hawking third world slabs.)

Just another data point to consult when evaluating how much to bid on a coin.
Of course, if I really want the coin I toss all the guides out and just bid the moon!
