New Cb Half Dime, Thanks Jade

I picked this up last weekend, from the good people over at Jade Rare Coins, at the Michigan Show. My photos absolutely blow as usual. I really should of let Tassa take this one back with them to photo it right. I picked up another one as well, that is a little more crusty then this one, I'll try to post pictures of it later on as well. I really need to learn how to work this camera one of these days..

Very nice half dimes you have there image

The 1835 is an LM5.1 R3 that later developes a rather significant reverse cud through "D STATES".

The 1833 is an LM3.4 R2, this coin also later developes a large reverse cud...this time through "NITE". There should be several die cracks on the reverse of your coin but I can't tell with the images. The indicator that to me that it's a 3.4 comes from the obverse with the small die chip in the bottom right of the 8.

Gorgeous half dimes both of them. Congratulations on some killer additions!
  • You are correct, on the 1833 -- The top of the reverse is spider webbed with die cracks. The E in United is starting to fill. The largest die crack runs from this point to the center of the coin, throught the eagles head, then splits up towards ENUM. The top of both of the S's in STATES are also filled.

Wish I could take a better picture.

    Thanks for the compliments.
